PINK Week!

Don't forget this week is PINK week in support of cancer research and those that have fought or are fighting this disease!  Please wear PINK to our home games on Thursday (Volleyball) and Friday (Football).  We will also be doing different fund raisers for cancer research during this activities so listen for announcements. Mid-Term Reports

Just as a reminder, last Friday, Sept 21 was the mid-term for the 1st Quater for CWL.  Mid-term reports will be sent out towards the end of this week for parents.  Just as a reminder, parents do have access to student grades through the parent portal.  If you need more informaiton or need to set up your account on parent portal please feel free to contact the high school.

CONGRATULATIONS TO LAUREN CHAMBERS AND DEREK STUDER ON BEING CROWNED 2012 HOMECOMING QUEEN AND KING.

The white washing of the streets has been rescheduled for Thursday night at 8pm due to the weather.  Please keep an eye out for students on the streets in front of the high school.

Homecoming week Information

CWL Homecoming Week (information)

 September 10^th – September 14^th we will be celebrating Homecoming Week:

 

Activities include:

Dress Up Days: High School                             Dress Up Days: Elementary

Monday – Pajama Day                                       Tuesday - Hat Day

Tuesday – Team Day                                           Wednesday - Pajama Day
Wednesday – Board Games                              Thursday - Animal/Animal Day
Thursday – Animal Print Day                              Friday - Spirit Day
Friday – Spirit Day

Tuesday’s activities include a supper starting at 5pm at the CWL high School. The meal includes pulled pork, beans, potato chips, bars and lemonade. Coronation/Fun night will begin at 6:30 pm, with Powder Puff football and bonfire to follow.

 The cheerleaders will be having a cheer clinic on Tuesday and Thursday after school for any students K-8^th who would like to attend.  The cheer clinic will be hosted at the Lu Verne Elementary building from 3:45 to 5:30.

Friday’s activities include the parade at 2pm in Corwith with a pep rally in the high school gym to follow. The football team will take on Laurens Marathon that evening starting at 7pm.  Half time entertainment will be provided by the cheerleaders and the homecoming attendants and court will be introduced.

Welcome to the 2012-2013 School Year

Welcome to the 2012-2013 School Year!  We are off to a great start at CWL though the heat has presented us with a few challenges!  As you know the 1:1 computers have been rolled out to the students.  The 1:1 computers have really taken off and it is great seeing students using these in multiple classes throughout the day along with after school.

As we look ahead I would like to remind everyone that next week is homecoming!  It is a bit earlier this year compared to normal but hopefully we will have some great weather and a fun filled week.  I will post the weeks activities and dress up days on here shortly. 

Please take a few short minutes and watch the included video on blogs.  I think you'll find it enjoyable.

Good luck to our Cross Country, Volleyball and Football teams this week.  Volleyball has their first home game tomorrow night (Thursday)! Come out and support the Lady Panthers!
